3. Day One

6:00 AM: Wake-Up Call Karthik is stirred awake by a sharp ping on his phone. Groggily, he grabs it to find a message from Girish, establishing the tone for the day. Girish: Rise and shine, Karthik. Before you do anything else, recite the pledge. Karthik, still half-asleep, mumbles the words softly, submitting to Girish's dominance even before fully waking up. Girish: That's a good start. Now, get out of bed. Girish decides that Karthik's mornings should commence with the preparation and service of a lavish breakfast. Girish: I want a gourmet breakfast waiting for me when I wake up. Freshly squeezed juice, a variety of fruits, and an omelette—perfection is key. 2. The Agreement

Karthik: Hey, Girish, can we talk? Girish: Sure, what's on your mind? Karthik: Well, you know, we've been living together for a while now, and I was thinking, what if we, you know, formalize things a bit? Girish: (curious) Formalize? In what way? Karthik: (nervously) Like, uh, have an agreement, maybe? Something that outlines our roles and responsibilities, just so we're on the same page. Girish: (intrigued) That's an interesting idea. What brought this up? Karthik: (explaining) Sometimes, I feel like we're not clear on who does what, and it leads to some confusion. Girish: (nodding) I get that. So, what do you propose? Karthik: (producing a document) I drafted something. A sort of agreement that lays out what each of us contributes, our responsibilities, you know? Girish: (reading) "Slave Agreement"? 0. Introduction

I am an Indian based in the US. I am 25+ years old and work at a very good tech company in the Silicon Valley. I was always good at academics and managed to get into good educational institutions and tech company in India. I worked for sometime and decided to pursue my Master's in the US. I got admitted into a very good university and completed my Master's. I am in one of the best tech company of my field. I am a gay/bisexual. Being from a conservative family, it cannot be expressed easily to your family, friends and peers. Therefore, I decided to start this blog and pen down my thoughts in the form of stories.
